On Saturday, May 15, Leger released a survey that explored the summer 2021 travel plans of both Canadians and Americans.

According to the findings, 31% of Canadians and 41% of Americans surveyed did say that they are likely to take a vacation this summer. Of these Canadians, 63% said they would take small day trips around where they live. Meanwhile, of the Americans who said they are likely to travel in the coming months, 57% said they would leave their states for a summer vacation.*

When it comes to travel between the two countries, it seems that people from the U.S. would be more comfortable crossing the border this summer.

In fact, 57% of Canadians said that they wouldn't feel comfortable going to the U.S. until 2022. In comparison, only 32% of Americans said that they wouldn't feel OK going to Canada until 2022.

This data was collected from May 7 to May 9, 2021, and 1,529 Canadians and 1,003 Americans were surveyed.
