Busch Gardens Tampa Is Officially Reopening Next Week Just In Time For Summer Vacations

But you'll need a reservation!
Contributor

It's official, Busch Gardens Tampa has been given the green light to reopen to the public and has finally set the date. While the phased reopening will come with some adjustments, you can now start planning your summer trips to one of your favorite Florida theme parks again next week. Mark your calendars for the official reopening of Busch Gardens on Thursday, June 11!

The announcement comes a full a month before Disney World Orlando’s tentative reopening date, and just a week after Universal Studios.

Similarly to Disney’s announcement of a new advance reservation system for park attendees, all Busch Gardens guests will have to make a reservation online to enter. The reservation system will be up on Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m.

Busch Gardens says that guests with pre-existing admission purchases need to bring their reserved e-ticket in addition to their original ticket, Fun Card, or Annual Pass to the front gate when they arrive at the park.

According to their calendar, the theme park will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday and will be closed all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout June.

Visitors can also expect mandatory face masks for anyone over two years old, new social distancing measures being set in place, as well as temperature checks — those with a temp over 100.4 F will not be allowed to enter.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own face masks, but the option to purchase them on-site will also be available.

Visitors will be allowed to remove their masks for eating and drinking as well as at certain designated relaxation areas around the park.

All animal exhibits are open too, just with adjusted seating and viewing.

Get ready to make your reservations on Monday and enjoy all your favorite rides once again. Summer vaycay can't come soon enough!
