You Can Join In On The Shark Week Event Happening Near Tampa This Week
Every week is Shark Week when you live in Florida, but that doesn’t make that infamous week in August any less special in The Sunshine State. Lots of people and places are celebrating Shark Week in their own way this year, and you can get in on the action at Clearwater Marine Aquarium's Shark Friendzy event this week. Sink your teeth into shark-theme foods, visit the aquarium’s resident toothy fish, and even take a boat tour to visit the wilder residents!
You can immerse yourself in the world of these deep-sea predators now through Sunday, August 16, when the Shark Friendzy event will come to a close at 8 p.m.
Tickets are currently on sale for $85 for single person admission, or $170 for two.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is famous for the story of Winter the Dolphin, but the rest of their marine residents are just as amazing.
During shark week, take a trip over to Shark Pass to hang out with Thelma, the aquarium's resident nurse shark.
During the Shark Friendzy event, the aquarium's Atlantis Theater will be showing various videos of these toothy sea creatures that you share Florida's shimmering waters with.
Along with all the fun things to do and goodies you can usually catch at the aquarium, this event will also offer limited-edition shark pretzels at Shark Bites Café to chomp down on.
You can even hop aboard their eco-boat cruise to explore Clearwater Bay, where you might even catch a glimpse of their local dolphin pods.
