This Spicy Florida Food Fest Will Bring The Heat To Tampa Bay Next Month

If you’re the type that drowns your tacos in hot sauce, gets the spiciest wings possible, and seasons just about everything with chili flakes, then you’ll feel right at home at this Florida food festival dedicated to everything hot. The 20th Annual I Like It HOT! Festival will showcase spicy food vendors from across The Sunshine State next month. September has never been so sizzling, and you can get in on all the fiery fare in just a few weeks.

The I Like It HOT! Festival has always been held on the second week of September, featuring regional and local food exhibits. Spice connoisseurs can get their fill of BBQ sauces, beef jerky, pepper jellies, spice rubs, pepper plants, and so much more.

You can bring the heat by joining the many contests held all weekend long. From pepper eating contests to hot hula hoop contests to even a lollypop lick-a-thon featuring the hottest lollypop in the world, you’ll need your most serious game face for this event.

Held at The Minnreg Hall in Tampa Bay, you can jump into the fire bright and early Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

For those friends you’ll be dragging along who aren’t quite as enthusiastic about burning away their taste buds as you are, don’t worry.

There will plenty of mild options for them to snack on, too.

Fido and friends are welcome to join in on the festivities, but you’ll want to stay vigilant in making sure your furry pals stay away from any spicy scraps.

With just $5 admission and free parking, you can save your pennies for the food, gadgets, and other goodies you’ll find at the annual I Like It HOT! Festival.
