Florida is full of natural wonders, treasures, and oddities, and the wildlife is certainly no exception. From modern-day dinosaurs to colorful birds, you can see plenty of cool critters at Sarasota Jungle Gardens. A favorite of many guests who explore these gardens are the free-roaming flamingos, who will come right up to you and be happy to show you around!

Over 200 animals, both native to the Sunshine State and exotic, call Sarasota Jungle Gardens home.

While it's still up in the air as to whether the iconic tropical pink bird is indeed a native Floridian, experts say it's likely to be true, but you’ll find the Caribbean species at this oasis.

Different exhibits you can experience include alligator feedings, bird displays, and the chance to have your picture taken with some of the feathered or scaled stars of the show.

For more furry friends, you can also check out the petting zoo, where goats and pigs snack on hay and love a good scratch on the back.

There are several ways to enjoy the gardens, either with a single-day ticket for $17.99, or with an annual pass for $49.99.

Aside from hanging out with wildlife and these pink birds of paradise, Sarasota Jungle Gardens features lush trails that wind you through a tropical landscape. They make for some pretty dreamy Insta-shots too.
