A popular Tampa Bay restaurant, Becky Jack’s Food Shack, has been a go-to place for people to gather and enjoy scrumptious seafood and local brews.

Today, they announced the immediate closing of their restaurant due to an employee recently testing positive for COVID-19.

“No other team member at our location has ever shown any symptoms or signs, but they will only return to work when they receive a negative result. We will continue to follow all CDC guidelines at our restaurant for our guests and staff."

While the Facebook post reports that no other staff member has shown symptoms at this time, no one will be allowed back until obtaining a negative test result, and all staff are being sent to get tested for the FDA-authorized COVID-19 antibody test.

The post assured that the safety and health of patrons and staff was the restaurant’s first priority.

They plan to reopen once all employees are cleared through testing and the building receives a professional deep cleaning.
