The players entered an NHL-stye isolation bubble and followed strict COVID-19 protocols before the game, which took place near Edmonton, Alberta.
According to CTV News, players received COVID-19 tests daily and the game would have been paused at any moment if anyone tested positive.
Global News reported that the game took place in temperatures as low as -40 C while the polar vortex took Alberta by storm.
The final score was a mind-blowing 2,649 to 2,528 and the game pulled in $1,840,000 for Cure Cancer Foundation.
"You have given the greatest gift of all to cancer patients: more time with their families, friends and loved ones," the organizers wrote on Facebook.
Of course, this monumental game broke a world record while doing immense good for Canadians.
