Nestled away in Quebec, just 30 minutes from Ottawa, is a secret swimming hole that’s so extraordinary you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d found the Maldives.
Morrison’s Quarry is a popular scuba diving spot in Wakefield, and is also home to Canada’s highest bungee jump.
For those looking for a relaxing dip, rather than an adrenaline-fuelled adventure, you can also use the area for sunbathing, swimming and hanging out with your BFFs.
Even better, the sparkling mega-pool is equipped with a water slide, sandy beach and a floating sundeck, making it feel like a mini-resort that the rest of the city doesn’t know about!
This totally Instagram-worthy spot does have some public rules and fees though, so it’s important to know what’s-what before heading over there.
Such a spectacular spot, unsurprisingly, does come with a price tag.
For just $10, you can spend a whole day at the waterside, and enjoy free parking, washrooms with showers, BBQs, drinks machines, picnic tables and access to the water and swimming facilities.
You can pay the fee upon arrival, and you can even explore the quarry's unbelievable diving site while you're there.
This place doubles an extraordinary diving spot. Underwater, you can discover a whole hidden world of surprises, including a plane, a car, a tugboat and even a submarine.

If you're not comfortable diving, don't worry. While the water reaches a maximum depth of 139 feet, there's visibility up to 25 feet in the summer months.
While Morrison's Quarry remains temporarily closed, the nearby Great Canadian Bungee Jump has reopened to guests with an advanced booking.
