Have you ever wanted to feel like you're in an action movie? Climbing, swinging, and jumping through the trees while racing the clock like Indiana Jones? Go Ape is a treetop zip line adventure park in Plano that lets you do all that and much more. Being that the tree adventure is located in the forest, the shade provided by the trees makes them a great spot to hang out this summer. The shade makes it several degrees cooler than any beach or pool.
The obstacle course takes people anywhere from two to three hours to finish! They have an awesome zip lining section that takes you through the forest to an area with even more obstacle course fun. The entire course features 20 obstacles and four zip lines. There are bridges and balancing obstacles, but don't worry, you'll always have a harness on for safety.
Texas has very unpredictable weather but thankfully, Go Ape is open rain or shine. You do have to go through some of the obstacles to get to the zip lines, which will be a great way to overcome any fear of heights you might have. While there is no age restriction, there is a height restriction, stating that you must be at least 4 foot 7 seven to participate in the course.
Tickets for adults start at $60 on any given day of the week but they often have special discounts. Visitors will be 30 feet in the air at any given time. The location is over 800 acres and one of the zip lines even flies over Rowlett Creek.
Go Ape is located at 5901 Los Rios Blvd, Plano, Texas. For more information on the course and to purchase tickets, you can visit their website here.
