I Tried All Of Tim Horton's Holiday Baked Goods & This Is My Honest Opinion
Season's eatings! Tim Horton's holiday menu included four festive baked goods this year and I set out to try them all to see if one was better than the others.
This year's launches included the polar bear dream donut, a chocolate hazelnut eclair, a gingerbread muffin, and the filled sugar cookie.
I tried all of them and ranked them from worst to first, based on my own honest opinion.
4. Polar Bear Dream Donut

Opinion: While this is the cutest and most festive dessert in the bunch it is also one of the more boring selections. The donut itself is your basic Tims treat with the typical frosting on top.
The filling is more whipped cream or buttercream-like, which gives the whole thing a very sweet taste, but not much flavour.
Also if you don't like black jellybeans beware, as that's what the bear's nose is made of.
3. Filled Sugar Cookie

Opinion: The sugar cookie lacks presentation with sprinkles haphazardly placed and somewhat sparse. The cookie itself is soft and fresh and the filling makes it sweet.
There's nothing wrong with it but like the donut, it doesn't offer anything special flavour-wise.
2. Gingerbread Muffin

Opinion: This muffin borders on being a cupcake, especially when you consider the cream cheese icing it's filled with, but it is tasty. You can taste a few different spices that you'd expect with gingerbread cookies right when you bite into it.
The muffin was soft and really moist but it did get super stuck to the wrapper, which is a bit of a drawback.
1. Chocolate Hazelnut Eclair

Opinion: The best treat that I tried was the new eclairs. While the base of them seems to just be an elongated chocolate dip donut, the filling really takes it to the next level. There is also some white chocolate on top to really jazz things up.
The only issue with this dessert is that the presentation is pretty sloppy, but the taste quickly makes you forget all about that.
