6 Employees At The St. Lawrence Market In Toronto Have Just Tested Positive For COVID-19
The City of Toronto is warning residents that six employees at the St. Lawrence Market have tested positive for COVID-19.
The six employees aren't named for privacy reasons, but the city released a press release saying they last worked at the market on December 19, December 21, and December 24.

The city says that the six employees work at three merchant stores in the market, but declined to name either the stores or the employees.
In the release, Toronto says the public isn't at risk because any interactions with the employees would have been brief and the employees were social distancing and wearing masks.
The city did detail how each person was infected — two people got COVID-19 from a family member, another two work together, and two pairs of people commuted to work with each other.
"All close contacts have been notified and are self-isolating and monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days from the last possible date of exposure," the city said.
The St. Lawrence Market will remain open, according to the city, providing essential food access to Torontonians during the pandemic.
