This Toronto Baker's Sugar Cookies Make TTC Trams Look Irresistible (PHOTOS)

And she even managed to make Sneaky Dee's look appetizing.
Staff Writer

The TTC is giving major kudos to a Toronto baker after she shared photos of sugar cookies decorated to look like the city's streetcars.

Alicia Didow, a baker and cookie decorator in Toronto, posted her latest creations on Tuesday and the TTC shared a photo on their Twitter, but her decorating talents extend into far more of the city than just its transit system.

Speaking to Narcity over the phone, Didow says she started decorating Toronto landmarks back when the pandemic started.

But what started as a pandemic hobby blossomed into a way of supporting Toronto businesses.

Her most recent project, the TTC trams, started after a client wanted something TTC-related for their son, who drives a streetcar.

The trams are her favourite creation yet, Didow says, but she thinks that Chula — a Mexican cantina in Toronto — is the tastiest-looking building in the city.

Next up is a series of independent bookstores, Didow says — so there seems to be no end to what the artist can make look tasty.
