A Baby Was Found Dead In The Waters Of Lake Ontario Last Night

Homicide investigators are looking into the case.

Durham Police are now investigating after a baby in Lake Ontario was found dead.

According to police, the infant was found by a citizen who was on a lakefront trail in Pickering.

“The citizen was walking along the shoreline of Lake Ontario here in Pickering when she noticed some remains floating in the water,” Durham Regional Police Acting Sgt. George Tudos told CTV News. 

Homicide investigators have taken over the scene and a post mortem is expected to be conducted in the upcoming days. 

Parts of the trail were shut down while police investigated on Thursday night.
