Canadian Travellers Are Reportedly Using Helicopters To Get Across The Niagara Border
It seems that Canadian snowbirds are using a loophole to get into the U.S. and escape another COVID-19 winter.
According to the St. Catharines Standard, an Ontario helicopter service is flying travellers over the Niagara border, so they can still trek to Florida this year.

Flying to the U.S. is not closed; carriers fly to the U.S. every day.

Great Lakes Helicopters, operating out of Cambridge, Ontario, has reportedly been making as many as 60 trips every week since December.
Since November, 500 Canadians have been flown to Buffalo through their service.
The flights, which fly out of airports in Hamilton, St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake, cost $1,200 per trip.
Travellers can also pay an extra $700 to have their cars shipped over via commercial transport.
A hefty price that snowbirds are more than happy to pay.
"When you commit to being a snowbird, you commit" Dewayne Henderson, Great Lakes' general manager concluded to Buffalo News.
However, Henderson does state that they are not breaking any rules by offering this service.
They have reportedly had no problems with public health and are "doing absolutely nothing different than Air Canada or WestJet."
