The other event had about 40 people on the scene.

Both protests took place in the area of Bay Street South and Main Street West on January 3 and January 10.

Police reportedly notified organizers ahead of the second event that the gathering would violate the Reopening Ontario Act.

However, the pair still chose to go ahead with the demonstration.

If convicted the two could face a minimum fine of $10,000.

Last month, hundreds of people gathered in Yonge-Dundas Square to protest Ontario's lockdown.
