More provincial progress is being made in the fight against the current pandemic. Ontario's COVID-19 cases saw another decline today, with fewer than 200 cases being reported for the twelfth day in a row.

Christine Elliott, Ontario's Minister of Public Health, confirmed on Twitter that there were 130 new cases in the province on July 10, slightly higher than the previous day's total. However, there were also more than twice as many people recovering from the virus, totalling 267 for the day.

Elliott also noted that 28 out of Ontario's 34 public health units were reporting five cases or fewer. In addition, 18 of those units reported no new cases at all.

The province also completed a further 29,522 tests to bring the total number up to 1,665,693, with 22,083 still under investigation.

There are currently 128 COVID-19 patients in Ontario hospitals, with 31 of them in ICU and 18 on ventilators.
