Report Indicates Ontario Is On Track For 6,000 Cases A Day Before The End Of January

Doug Ford confirmed that more measures are on their way after a report indicated that Ontario's modelling data shows that our daily case count is only going up.

According to a CBC article published on Monday morning, sources who have seen the province's new modelling data say Ontario will reach 6,000 new COVID-19 cases a day by the end of the month.

According to the CBC's sources, survey data shows that most Ontarians are not following public health guidelines.

And their article says there was a "spike in movement" around Christmas Day, before the provincial lockdown began on Boxing Day.

Doug Ford confirmed on Monday morning that he would announce new provincial measures on Tuesday, but reports from Global News and the Globe and Mail now indicate that a curfew is not in the cards for Ontario.

In a previous press conference, the Premier warned Ontarians that the modelling data is so bad that it will make them "fall off their chair."

Ontario is currently seeing lower numbers than the data presented in December said we would — models suggested the province would see 5,000 new cases a day by mid-January.

Public Health Ontario reported 3,338 new cases in the province today.
