You Can Digitally Adopt A Fur Baby From Ontario's SPCA Again & Here's How

Things are beginning to slowly return to normal in the best way possible. If you've been desperate for a new furry BFF, you'll be delighted to know that Ontario SPCA pet adoptions are back on the table. The process will remain limited-contact to ensure safety, but that won't stop you from being able to home a cute little buddy. What are you waiting for?

The Ontario SPCA told CP24 on that they’ve “gone digital” when it comes to the adoption process.

So, whereas at one point you could just walk in and browse the furry friends, customers are now asked to browse the pet selection online before "starting a conversation" with the branch. 

While doing so, though, you will have the chance to e-meet and greet your newest adoptee.

The SPCA urges Ontarians to consider their day-to-day schedule before adopting any sort of pet. They also offer a ‘Meet your Match’ survey on their website to help users figure out what pet is the best fit for them!

“It is kitten season, so we’ve got a number of kitten litters coming through,” the organization told CP24.

You can browse all animals available for adoption on the website. Adoption fees vary from $20 to $450.

In 2020 alone, despite the pandemic, the SPCA has already given 1390 animals homes. It currently has 1116 active volunteers.

Currently, there are no dogs available for adoption, but there are a number of feline friends ready for you to take them home — like adoptable Feebee!

While the Ontario SPCA doesn’t have any downtown Toronto locations, there are a few in the GTA, so you won’t have to travel too far to pick up your newest addition to the family!
