A group of Ontario university students have been required to leave residence after failing to follow COVID-19 rules.

According to Queen's University, the decision to remove the individuals comes at the same time the school is dealing with outbreaks.

"No one has been asked to withdraw from the university for violating health orders, but a small number have been required to leave our residences," a spokesperson for the university told Narcity.

Queen's has taken several measures to help curb the new virus variants of COVID-19, including closing its Athletics Centre and reducing on-campus food service.

Yet, this isn't the first time the school has faced problems due to student gatherings. Back in September, a bunch of parties broke out, leading to 89 noise complaints.
