Toronto restaurants may be known for their delicious savoury foods, but nothing is ever complete without dessert.

What is the best dessert you've ever ordered in Toronto? If you have a sweet tooth, then you've probably tried your fair share of desserts and definitely have a favourite in the city.

People on Reddit have had some "life changing" desserts too and they are not gatekeeping.

One of the most liked comments is a Coconut Cream Pie from Alder, which is a restaurant located inside the Ace Hotel. In fact, the Coconut Cream Pie from Alder made it on a Michelin Guide list in 2023 for one of the inspector's best desserts in the world.

Apparently, the Coconut Cream Pie from Scaramouche is also comparable and many people agree.

Another fan favourite is the Basque Cake at Bar Isabel. Someone said, "It's the best dessert in the city," and with 67 upvotes later, Toronronians can confirm.

"I used to live across from Bar Isabel pre-pandemic and went over to get the Basque cake as takeout to serve guests at home often," someone shared.

Hummingbird Cheesecake at Allwood is another "best-kept secret in Toronto," and it's vegan too.

"Sakai Bar makes an incredible brown butter buckwheat cake with caramelized white chocolate and warm koji cream. It's one of my favourites, and unlike any other dessert I've had in Toronto," is another dessert that people enjoy.
