A Fancy New Seafood Restaurant Is Taking Over The Old Weslodge Spot In Toronto

It's opening on King Street West this month!

There is going to be a brand new seafood spot in Toronto, and it is moving right into the heart of King Street West this month.

Pink Sky is the latest restaurant from Hanif Harji and Charles Khabouth (the two hospitality titans behind restaurants like Byblos, Patria, and the new Toronto Beach Club), and it will officially open its doors on August 31 at 480 King St. W., where the iconic Weslodge Saloon used to be.

According to the duo's recent press release, it's going to be a seafood lover's mecca with a raw bar offering selections of east and west coast oysters, ceviche, crudo and tartare — and it will have a great nightlife scene, too.

This new seafood spot is going to completely transform the Weslodge Saloon, and according to the press release, the restaurant's new interior will whisk you away to the "port warehouses on the shores of the Eastern Seaboard."

Future diners of Pink Sky can expect the new space to be filled with dark warm wood, plaster walls, cozy banquettes in burnt gold tones and rich teal accents. Weslodge is going to be setting up shop elsewhere, but the location has not yet been revealed.

"We want to offer a wholistically unique seafood experience at Pink Sky," Harji said in the release. "We built this menu around freshness – and offering the freshest fish, seafood and produce alongside unique flavours, textures and preparations that will underscore a great experience — whether you're popping in for lunch or planning a great evening with friends."

The restaurant is currently accepting reservations for dinner (from 4 p.m. to late), but they intend to roll out lunch service later this fall.

The spot boasts a Daily Catch menu of freshly caught seafood prepared over a charcoal grill and a wide variety of appetizers and entrées, from grilled littleneck clams to classic fish and chips. They will also have a cocktail list to quench your thirst, with offerings of "approachable classics with playful twists and [seasonally] inspired flavours."

Pink Sky is set to open on August 31 and is already taking reservations over the phone or on its website.
