As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the province, Premier Doug Ford is warning that another lockdown could be right around the corner.

In a press conference on Friday, Ford announced that even more regions in Ontario will be moving into the red zone.

The move comes after doctors predict that the province could be reaching up to 6,500 new cases a day if we don't take action.

The premier states that he will not hesitate to shut the province down again if cases continue to rise.

"I will not hesitate, for a second, if we need to go further," Ford said on Friday.

"Our number one priority right now is getting these numbers down."

Ford is also warning that residents in the red zone should now only be making essential trips outside of their homes.

This means not travelling unless it's for school, work, groceries or outdoor exercise.
