Flying out of the 6ix just got a whole lot cheaper. Swoop, an ultra low-fare airline, is switching its base of operation to the 6ix. As of October 25, 2020, you can grab flights from Swoop Airlines at Toronto Pearson Airport.

It might be time to start planning your next trip. Swoop's winter schedule will include non-stop service to several sunny destinations, including Las Vegas, Montego Bay, Orlando, Tampa Bay, and Cancun.

Flights are going for as cheap as $109, which is bound to be appealing to anyone who is flying on a budget.

"Our winter schedule is in response to a growing rebound in travel, as we know travellers are eager to plan their next getaway," Charles Duncan, President, Swoop said in a press release on Wednesday.

The airline, which used to have its hub in Hamilton, will now offer more travel options out of the 6ix.

Of course, it won't be business as usual while travelling on Swoop due to new social distancing measures

The airline has set in place several COVID-19 restrictions to provide a safe travelling to its customers and crew.

This includes stricter boarding processors, shorter wait times, increased sanitization and enforced face masks during flights.

"It is time to travel again, and that can be done responsibly and safely. "We are focusing our efforts on encouraging travel with our ability to provide ultra-low fares to price-sensitive travellers," Duncan concluded.

Service is expected to run four and five times a week to each vacation spot.

The airline will also offer domestic flights from Toronto, including to Halifax and Edmonton.

Tickets are already on sale online if you are someone who likes to plan in advance.
