A 20-Year-Old Man Faces Multiple Charges After The Deadly Brampton Car Crash

There's been progress in the investigation into last week's tragic incident in Brampton. Multiple charges are being laid on a 20-year-old man who was allegedly the Brampton car crash driver who caused a multi-vehicle crash on June 18. The accident killed 37-year-old Karolina Ciasullo and her three young daughters Klara, Liliana, and Mila.

Peel Regional Police confirmed on Thursday, June 25 that 20-year-old Brady Robertson has been charged with four counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death.*

Authorities confirmed that Robertson, who has also been referred to as Brady Robinson, was the man behind the wheel of the blue Infiniti involved in the crash.

Robertson has also been hit with one additional charge of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle in relation to another incident in Caledon, two days before the Brampton crash.

In court records cited by Global News, Robertson was charged under Section 320.13 (3) of the criminal code. The maximum sentence he could face is life in prison.

He was expected to appear in court on Thursday, which is the same day as the public funeral for Ciasullo and her three daughters.

The memorial was planned for 1 p.m. on June 25 at the St. Eugene de Mazenod Church in Brampton.

According to police, the blue Infiniti coupe was seen travelling east on Countryside Drive just after 12 p.m. on the day of the crash.

This occurred before the car collided into the SUV, causing Ciasullo's car to hit a light pole, which fell on top of the car, taking the lives of Ciasullo and her three daughters.

Six-year-old Klara died at the scene. Her mother and her sisters, one-year-old Mila and four-year-old Lilianna, later died in the hospital. 

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown had previously spoken out about the horrifying tragedy, suggesting that the driver had a prohibited license and even many driving offences.

A GoFundMe has also been set up to cover the costs of the funeral and help the family at this heartbreaking time, reaching almost $400,000 in donations in less than a week.
