The Nostalgic Winnie-the-Pooh Exhibit Is Officially Reopening In Toronto
Everyone's favourite teddy bear is officially coming out of hibernation. After months of lockdown, Winnie-the-Pooh is preparing to make a reappearance at the Royal Ontario Museum. You can finally visit the whimsical storybook world and fill up on nostalgia at the immersive experience. Hold onto your honey pots, because Toronto's Winnie-the-Pooh exhibit is reopening soon.
Winnie-the-Pooh is one of those special childhood stories we all have memories of.
In the spring, the ROM launched an immersive exhibition which brought visitors right into the pages of the beloved storybook.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring A Classic opened on March 7, 2020, and was planned to run until August 3, 2020.
Only a week after opening, the museum closed due to COVID-19, and the heartwarming world of Winnie-the-Pooh was forced to shut down along with it.
However, some beary good news has just been released.
In a press release sent to Narcity, the ROM revealed that it will be reopening the exhibit on September 1, 2020.
The experience will remain open until January 17, 2021, in order to give visitors lots of time to explore this nostalgic world.
This will be the final stop on the teddy bear's world tour.
The ROM officially reopened on July 11, and it has implemented new protocols in order to keep guests safe.
Timed-tickets are available to purchases online, and social distancing rules, as well as limited capacities, are in effect.
The ROM informed Narcity that there is an extra $8 charge to visit the exhibit in addition to the general admission cost of $23, making it $31 per adult.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring A Classic features original sketches, massive environments, memorabilia, interactive spaces, and more.
The exhibit boasts over 200 items, which span a century of Pooh history.
You can wander through the Hundred Acre Woods, play Poohsticks, and visit Eeyore's home.
Toronto's Immersive Van Gogh exhibit has also opened its doors this summer.
You can watch the artist's work come to life in a massive warehouse downtown.
