A 21-Year-Old Was Just Arrested For Brutally Attacking A Woman Near Toronto

Durham Regional police have made an arrest in connection to the Whitby attack on a woman that left a 50-year-old critically injured.

The 21-year-old-suspect is now in custody after attacking the woman, who was reported missing and found near a creek on the morning of July 29, according to a news release.

She had multiple, serious injuries consistent with an assault.


Durham Regional Police 

Video footage was shared of the suspect, who can be seen following the woman on the night of July 28 between 8:50 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Her wounds were life-threatening, according to police and she was still in hospital as of August 4. 

The suspect is now facing charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated sexual assault.
