You can cruise through a purple paradise this spring at the Northumberland Lilac Tour.

Every year at the end of May, the area bursts into fragrant blooms, and you can choose from these three driving routes that will take you through all the floral splendour.

The maps will take you around shining lakes and scenic farmlands dotted with lilac bushes.

There are also several hikes along the way that you can stop at and explore for more nature views.
