BC's Most Crystal-Clear Hidden Lake Will Transport You To The Bahamas (VIDEO)

It's the Bahamian True North!
Staff Writer

We found your new happy place. Summer is all about good times and tan lines. It is time to elevate your plans this year, instead of going to the same local pool on repeat. We found a hidden paradise that is so stunning, you'll do a doubletake when you find out where it is. This unique B.C. lake has crystal-clear water and will make you feel like you're vacationing in the Bahamas.

The next time you have a few days off work, you should explore the picture-perfect Boya Lake. It is certainly worth the drive to get to Ta Ch'ila Provincial Park in northern B.C.

The beach here is known for its incredible scenery and vibrant water that is unlike anything you've seen before. Plus, unlike many spots up north, it is one of the few lakes warm enough to swim in.

What makes this spot so unique is that the water is so clear, you can see the tiny fish swimming all around you. So get ready to feel like you are Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid.

One of the best spots to splash in the water is the dock. It is next to the Beaver Lodge hiking trail and is perfect if you want to dip in all at once.

Or you can pretend to be a pirate and explore the plethora of islands and bays across the massive body of aqua water.

In addition to swimming and boating, there are also two short hiking trails to enjoy. Both are short and sweet and take you along the lake's edge.

This year the park is fully open as of June 1, which includes swimming, hiking trails and camping sites. But at the moment, reservations for campsites are on a first-come, first-serve basis for B.C. locals only.

If you want to claim one, they are a budget-friendly $20 a night and are along the coastline.

Why You Need To Go: The water here is so vibrant it feels like a tropical paradise.
