325 Homes In Coquitlam Don't Have Power Right Now After A Bird Ran Into A Wire

A bird hitting an electrical line has put over 300 homes in Coquitlam, B.C. in the dark. 

BC Hydro announced on Friday, August 14 that their crew is working to restore the power outages affecting 325 homes in the city.

The map outlines the areas that are suffering from the power outages at the time of writing. 

BC Hydro also warns civilians that if they see crews out in the field, they should respect social distancing measures.

According to the outage list, 642 customers have a power outage at the moment, though it's unclear whether they're all a result of the bird. 

These high-paying Metrolinx jobs have salaries up to $66 an hour and $198,000 a year

Bus driver, mechanical engineer, facility manager, and other positions are available.
