One of BC's top beaches is this beautiful stretch of sand with epic sunsets (PHOTOS)

Dreaming of beach days. 🌊

This beach in Vancouver makes for the perfect sunset spot and was named among the best in the province. The beach is also famed for its dress code, as one of the only two official nude beaches in Canada.

Destination BC's list of "Top 12 Beaches in BC" spotlighted Wreck Beach, a popular urban beach in Vancouver and "North America's largest clothing-optional beach."

Even aside from the unique dress code, Wreck Beach set itself apart from the other shorelines in the city thanks to its quiet locations and stunning scenery.

While it's just outside of downtown, it feels like you're escaping the city as you trek down the long staircase leading to Wreck. It takes you down 490 steps through a lush forest, but you're rewarded with a beautiful sight as your toes hit the soft sand. You can gaze out on the uninterrupted view of the ocean and mountains beyond it.

While other city beaches often have a view of skyscrapers and a busyness to them, Wreck feels far from the city surroundings.

Large logs are scattered around the beach, perfect for leaning against while you soak up the sun or watch it go down and light up the sky with colour.

Of course, the beach is famous for being clothing-optional, and many people take advantage of the dress code (or lack thereof).

You'll see lots of people who stay fully dressed, though, so don't worry if you're not up for embracing it.

Whether you're in the city and want a fun afternoon activity or are planning a West Coast vacation, this beach is a must-visit spot.
