Wandering through this sprawling garden will make you feel like you've stepping into another world, one full of bright colours and beautiful blooms. It's tucked away just outside of a city though, and is a peaceful oases not far from bustling streets.

This is The Buchart Gardens in Victoria, which just ranked among the most vibrant in North America, in a study conducted by the hotel chain Premier Inn. To craft the ranking, it analyzed gardens from around the world using satellite imagery and colour theory, to get a 'vibrancy score' for each.

With 55 acres of beautiful display gardens, it's not hard to see how The Butchart Gardens earned a place on the list.

While it feels like an escape into nature, the garden is just 25 minutes from the city — perfect for a quick getaway.

The gardens here are beautifully maintained, and you can roam the pathways between them to explore.

The Sunken Garden one of the most famous, since you can get a spectacular view from above it and take in the lush greenery.

There are a range of gardens here to explore, though, including a serene Rose Garden, a beautiful Japanese Garden, and a blooming Italian garden. Overall, there are more than 900 plant variations to see.

Visiting the garden costs $39.50 for adults (prices vary depending on the season) and you can buy your tickets online.
