Several anti-racism protests have taken place in British Columbia in recent weeks. Many have been curious about the ramifications of protesting during COVID-19

Provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry addressed the public on Monday, July 6, saying that no COVID-19 cases have been linked to the protests.

There's something inherently different in what you're doing in a group of people partying on a beach versus what we've been seeing with some of these protests.

“Currently we do not have any cases that have been associated with the protests that took place,” she said.

She went on to explain that her counterparts in the U.S. have reported similar findings.

Finally, she said that the clearest way to contract COVID-19 is through face-to-face contact with others.
