Vancouver is home to a stunning botanical garden that becomes even more enchanting in the winter, under the twinkle of a million lights.

VanDusen Botanical Garden's Festival of Lights is a winter wonderland, running from November 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Throughout the huge garden there are breathtaking light displays that you can wander among, making for a magical night.

The magical display decorates 15 acres of the garden, so you can roam around taking in the beauty of this place.

There are also food vendors for you have enjoy some treats, themed areas, and Dancing Lights with shows every 20 minutes.

There's also a sensory-friendly evening on December 3, which will have reduced event capacity, decreased audio levels, and the flashing lights turned off.

From November 29 to December 24 the VanDusen Festival of Lights is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and it's closed for December 25. From December 26 to January 5 it's open again from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets to go to the event are sold online, where you can pick an entry time. Tickets are $31.36 for adults and $12.23 for children.

Make sure to bundle up because the gardens are outdoors, and the event is on rain or shine!
