The devil's lettuce is preparing to touch down on one B.C. city and residents can't wait; a BCL cannabis store in Victoria just applied to open next year.

In an email to Narcity, the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB) said that if their plans are approved, the new store could open in the "late spring/early summer of 2021."

We are at the preliminary stage of the process.

The proposed business would be located "in the Victoria Bay Centre, 1150 Douglas Street in Victoria," and will be roughly 1,300 square feet in size.

"All BC Cannabis Stores are designed to be bright, clean, welcoming and professional," they wrote, "while creating a safe and favourable alternative to purchasing non-medical cannabis from the illicit market."

They also said that they'll work to keep it out of the hands of minors and that anyone who looks under 30 will need to provide two pieces of ID.
