8 Majestic Ontario Waterfalls Where You Can Soak Up The Summer Sun

These are the ones that you should chase!

After a few long months, we have all truly earned this summer. So it's time to belatedly start on that adventure bucket list. Ontario waterfalls are abundant across the province, and provide a great spot to relax, soak up the sun, and reconnect with the great outdoors.

There are tons of falls across Ontario, with hundreds within an hour's drive of Toronto.

Some are pretty easy to find, some require a little bit of effort, while others are hidden away from public view, just waiting to be discovered.

It's not always just about the waterfall itself, though.

This spot near Ottawa flows right through historic abandoned ruins which once belonged to Thomas "Carbide" Wilson, a Canadian well-known for discovering ways to mass-produce calcium carbide.

Not to be outdone, Hamilton is well known for being the "City of Waterfalls," with almost 160 sparking falls to check out throughout the entire region.

With the temperatures getting hotter and hotter, anyone who is looking for a place to take a swim this summer without the crowds, some of these spots will be for you.

When visiting a waterfall, remember there is a lot of fast-moving water and some slippery spots. So make sure to use caution and don't take risks just to grab that breathtaking selfie.
