This year saw the loss of one of the most famous Canadians to grace television screens, and now Alex Trebek has received a touching tribute from Google.

The Jeopardy! host, who passed away On November 8 following a battle with pancreatic cancer, has become the source for a touching and funny search engine easter egg.

After typing "Alex Trebek" into the Google search bar, not only will the results be pulled up, but also a small reference to the popular quiz show.

Above the search results, Google will ask "Did you mean: who is Alex Trebek."

This is alluding to the famous rule of Jeopardy! that contestants must put all of their responses in the form of a question.

While Trebek will be difficult to replace, he said that he wanted the show to continue on after he was gone.

It will be returning with champion Ken Jennings filling in temporarily as host.

Trebek was fondly remembered by prominent Canadians including Dan Levy, Justin Trudeau, and Ryan Reynolds.
