At 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, officers shared an update saying they were still searching for the individual.

The 24-year-old is a suspect in a shooting that occurred near Riverview High School on Tuesday late-afternoon.

One person was taken to hospital after the incident with non-life threatening injuries.

According to CTV News, the injured person is a teacher who also coaches the school's boys’ basketball team.

Per the police statement, the suspect is five feet 10 inches tall and 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Members of the public are asked not to share any information online about the police’s location as they continue to search for the individual.
