Contributor

14-year-old Mason Wright of DeKalb County has been working his way up to owning a restaurant for many years of his young life.

Mason has been an entrepreneur since he was just 9 years old when he started his business out of a hot dog cart.

Now, at the young age of 14, Mason just opened his very own restaurant, Mason’s Super Dogs

Everyone kept telling me I was too young. I just told myself, well, I can do this.

Mason Wright

Mason used to set up his hot dog cart on the Morehouse College campus, but when COVID-19 turned classes virtual, he had to reevaluate his business model.

Mason's solution was to open a brick and mortar location in Stonecrest, GA, so he could continue his business.

Mason shared with Narcity that opening his restaurant took "a lot of hard work and elbow grease," but he put in the hard work and saw an incredible outcome.

On the very first day, Mason's Super Dogs welcomed over 500 people and had a line out the door.

Mason said that his secret to being successful is "determination and being stubborn. I never give up easily."
