Big Brother Canada Just Revealed The Cast For Season 9 & The List Is So Diverse

The ninth season of Big Brother Canada is fast approaching and the show just revealed its full contestant list. We have one word: representation.

The new cast of the hit show will feature 14 contestants hailing from across Canada, from the West Coast to the East, the Prairies to the Atlantic regions.

Arisa Cox, Big Brother Canada's host and now one of its executive producers, has said that representation on the show would be an important leap towards a better society.

"Now is the time to take a giant step forward and see if we can make these shows that we love and we watch more equitable and a better experience for everyone," Cox said in an interview with the Toronto Star.

The first episode will premiere on Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

Here is the full list of contestants for Season 9 of BBCAN.

Latoya Anderson

Age: 34

Hometown: Pickering, ON

Occupation: police officer

About: Anderson has been in the police force for nearly a decade. She also runs a swimwear brand that promotes body positivity. If that wasn't enough, she's also walked the runway at New York Fashion Week.

Julie Vu

Age: 28

Hometown: Vancouver, BC

Occupation: social media influencer

About: Vu is an influencer who uses her platform to share personal details of her life, including her transition story.

Kiefer Collision

Age: 32

Hometown: Old Massett, B.C.

Occupation: radio host

About: Collision grew up in the northern part of Haida Gwaii. He has a wife, twin daughters and a young son.

Tina Thistle

Age: 42

Hometown: Paradise, NL

Occupation: graphic designer

About: Thistle is a friendly face in her community and says she will literally talk to anyone on the street. She also picked up playing hockey at 40 years old.

Rohan Kapoor

Age: 26

Hometown: Toronto, ON

Occupation: strategic partnerships manager

About: Kapoor is a business-savvy Torontonian and says his motto is "talk a big game and play a bad one."

Tera Gillen-Petrozzi

Age: 37

Hometown: LaSalle, ON

Occupation: mom/spin instructor

About: Gillen-Petrozzi is an energetic mom of two who is loud and feisty, according to her son.

Austin Dookwah

Age: 23

Hometown: Newmarket, ON

Occupation: realtor/model

About: Dookwah is a university graduate and can sing your ear off! She is super close with her sister and says she's open to a "showmance."

Breydon White

Age: 23

Hometown: Calgary, AB

Occupation: anthropology student

About: White is currently a student in Calgary. He says he has manifested himself winning the $100,000 prize so that he can pay off student loans and "pay daddy Trudeau back."

Tychon Carter-Newman

Age: 29

Hometown: Montreal, QC

Occupation: urban planner

About: Carter-Newman is super close with the women in his life including his mom and grandma. He says being an urban planner is his way of giving back to his community and making meaningful change.

Victoria Woghiren 

Age: 27

Hometown: Hamilton, ON

Occupation: youth advocate

About: Woghiren is high-energy, bubbly and fun! She says her social game is great and she was born to be on the show.

Beth Bieda

Age: 27

Hometown: Tomahawk, AB

Occupation: social worker

About: Bieda is a social worker who supports newly housed homeless adults. She also grew up on a farm.

Ethan Quance 

Age: 22

Hometown: Banff, AB

Occupation: line cook

About: Quance says he is an enthusiastic "goofball" who is very competitive. He is also an avid skier.

Jedson Tavernier

Age: 25

Hometown: Aurora, ON

Occupation: personal trainer

About: Tavernier is an athlete who grew up in a small town. He says he wants to help influence social change in the BBCAN house and outside of it.

Josh Farnworth

Hometown: New Westminster, BC

Occupation: film production coordinator

About: Farnworth is an Elon Musk fan who says he likes to be alone, aside from being with his dog.
