There's a new houseguest on the block! Big Brother Canada season 9 is officially getting a giant TikTok screen in the house and it's giving us all the Gen Z vibes!

That's right, the hugely famous app will set up shop in Canada's favourite entertainment suite for its ninth running season.

The Canadian game show has announced that TikTok will be featured through a custom-made screen within its walls.

The app will be used to feature special guests throughout the season, as well as to allow housemates to participate in TikTok challenges.

It will also help host the After the Eviction period and give exclusive live access to the houseguests after they're evicted.

"TikTok will be joining the Big Brother family as the first entertainment platform to fully integrate into the show — and, of course, TikTok has plenty of awesome surprises planned for #BBCAN9 fans and contestants," Brittany Wong, Proof Strategies Inc. told Narcity.

"Houseguests will get to experience all of the viral trends and cultural moments that start on TikTok," she added.

"The TikTok community will no doubt influence the season through twists and turns in this year's plot and story development."

Season nine comes after the previous season had to stop production as a result of COVID-19 concerns last year.

The new season will premiere Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. ET.
