Planning a beach day? Ontario is home to some of Canada's cleanest and safest beaches, where you can swim in sparkling waters, relax on sandy shores, and soak up some sun.

Swim Drink Fish has revealed Canada's Blue Flag beaches for 2025, and nearly all of them are in Ontario.

Blue Flag is an annual award recognizing beaches and marinas around the globe that meet specific environmental, safety, and cleanliness criteria.

This year, 16 beaches and nine marinas earned Blue Flag status in Canada, with 22 of these destinations hailing from Ontario.

Here are Ontario's Blue Flag beaches for 2025, offering clean and safe swimming experiences:

  • Bluffer's Beach (Toronto, ON)
  • Kew-Balmy Beach (Toronto, ON)
  • Woodbine Beach (Toronto, ON)
  • Cherry Beach (Toronto, ON)
  • Hanlan's Point (Toronto Islands, ON)
  • Ward's Island Beach (Toronto Islands, ON)
  • Gibraltar Point (Toronto Islands, ON)
  • Port Burwell Municipal East Beach (Port Burwell, ON)
  • Port Stanley Main Beach (Port Stanley, ON)
  • Grand Bend Beach (Grand Bend, ON)
  • Canatara Park Beach (Sarnia, ON)
  • Moonlight Beach (Sudbury, ON)
  • Bell Park Beach (Sudbury, ON)
  • Spruce Beach (Elliot Lake, ON)
  • Spine Beach (Elliot Lake, ON)
