Canada has so many dreamy spots to swim, from white sand beaches to rocky coves. This Ontario beach was named among the best in the country, so grab your goggles and start planning that summer road trip.

In a post on Narcity Canada's Facebook page, we asked readers to share what they think are the best beaches in Canada. This Ontario spot with soft sand shores and warm waters was one of the recommended destinations.

Turkey Point Beach is a dreamy summer gem located along Lake Erie in Turkey Point Provincial Park. According to Destination Ontario, this stretch of shoreline was once dubbed "Ontario's Riviera" for its "beautiful beaches and warm waters."

The 2-kilometre beach boasts soft sand and sparkling waters, making it an idyllic spot for a dip. The shoreline is dotted with sandbars, adding to the tropical feel and creating shallow, peaceful areas where you can wade through the lake.

Aside from swimming, you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and other water sports. Rentals are available from Waveline Rentals.

The surrounding region of Norfolk County is a beautiful spot to explore, so there's lots to do once you've had your beach fill. The area boasts wineries, cycling routes and quaint farm markets.

The charming communities of Port Dover and Simcoe are located nearby. You can wander along quaint streets and cool off with an ice cream cone after a day spent in the sand.

With shallow, warm waters and silky sandbars, this locally loved beach has been named among the best in the county.
