If you're so over job-hunting, we've got some good news. On Thursday, August 6, Amazon Canada announced that they're opening a new sorting facility in Balzac, Alberta. As a result, hundreds of Alberta Amazon jobs are up for grabs and you can throw your name in the hat.

Lisa Guinn, an Amazon spokesperson, told Narcity that the new sortation centre will provide "hundreds of job opportunities for the talented local workforce."

We found a job listing for the "Warehouse Sort Team Member" position that lays out all the details you need to know before applying.

According to the listing, these team-member positions will be part-time and the wages begin at $16.65 per hour.

You'll be working between 20 and 29 hours a week. The listing reads, "Choose the shifts that work best for you now. You will be able to adjust your schedule in the future, as needed."

Each shift will have you working between three to five hours, and you'll be able to work more shifts if they come available.

In terms of basic qualifications, you only need to be above eighteen and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

As for the duties and responsibilities, you are expected to sort, scan, and stack packages on pallets, prepare orders for delivery, and use devices like scanners, computers, and handheld printers.

Therefore, you need to know about the physical requirements of what you'll be doing.

You have to be able to lift up to 49 pounds and work at a height of up to 12 meters, though the latter will only be applicable for some sites.

You'll have to work around moving machines, move around carts and dollies, and comfortably go up and down the stairs.

On top of all that, COVID-19 circumstances call for COVID-19 protocols. This means you should expect temperature checks frequently. You'll also be provided face coverings and safety vests.

The dress code is casual for the most part but make sure you have some sturdy, closed-toed shoes because there's a lot of moving around.

According to CTV News, the comprehensive benefits package takes effect on your first day on the job. Employees who work 20 hours or more can also sign up for a group retirement and profit-sharing plan.

Global News reported that the facility is set to open its doors in the next couple of months, but positions are already up online.

Happy job hunting!
