With just one week down, several schools in the Calgary area have reported COVID-19 cases.

As of Tuesday, September 8, Bridlewood School, St. Angela School and Lester B. Pearson High School, and Bowness High School in Calgary have recorded COVID-19 cases since schools reopened. Alberta school COVID-19 cases also include Raymond High School in Raymond and Lawrence Grassi Middle School in Canmore.

Any individual considered exposed to this case will be contacted directly by Alberta Health Services.

In early September, three Alberta schools reported COVID-19 cases and delayed their reopening.

But none of the schools that have reported cases since reopening are closing down, even temporarily. Bowness High School's case has sent an entire high school class into isolation, reported City News.

Alberta Health Services is in the process of finding close contacts of those with infections and discussing safety measures with the schools.
