Time for a good old-fashioned road trip. If you've been hunting for hidden-gem diners in Alberta, Evelyn's Memory Lane Cafe should catch your eye. This establishment is hiding the best comfort food in the province and you need to stop by at least once.

The diner is located in the town of , Alberta.

Editor's Choice: Buying Houses In Calgary & Edmonton Is Going To Get So Cheap Because Alberta's So Broke

It's just an hour south of Calgary, and a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Edmonton. That makes it the perfect pit stop while you're road-tripping through Alberta's finest nature destinations.

The location may make it seem like it's a random middle-of-the-nowhere spot but believe it or not, this café has been featured on the Food Network.

It was featured on the network's You Gotta Eat Here show, so you know it's got a very brag-worthy seal of approval.

You've got the classic food fare that can be expected from any quintessential diner but there are also tons of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-friendly options.

All in all, the food at this place will make you fall in love with hearty, home-cooked goodness all over again.

A lot of the menu changes daily, so you'll have to keep an eye on Evelyn's Facebook page to see what the specials are for any given day.

Their salads are packed with fresh, unique ingredients that will make you feel just so nourished. Beets, hazelnuts, and pears in one bowl? Yes, please.

You can pair up a salad with a bowl of soup for $12. The soup changes daily as well, so you're in for a soulful surprise no matter when you go.

The sandwich selection at this place is equally amazing.

For example, a sandwich called "Who Knew?" is made up of smoked turkey, dried blueberry spread, arugula, pear, and pecan-cream cheese. How good does that sound?

There's also a dish called Brea's Blue Bowl, which is a "daily selection of a nutritious fresh and balanced meal," according to the menu. These bowls go for $13 each.

Let's talk about dessert because this place is secretly a pie palace.

On any given day, you'll find delicious pies like strawberry-rhubarb crumble, blueberry, Saskatoon berry, apple, sour cherry, and more.

They also have a brochure featuring over 45 scrumptious, decadent pies. These pies need to be ordered 24 hours prior to pick-up, so be sure to make a choice before you head to the restaurant.

Other desserts include banana split sundaes, something called "brownie earthquake," bread and butter pudding, and Evelyn's signature carrot cake.

You better show up wearing your most flexible stretch pants because we have a feeling the desserts, as well as the charming atmosphere inside the establishment, will keep you glued to your booth.
