This enchanting small town near Calgary was actually the set of a Hallmark holiday movie
A real life winter wonderland.

A mountain town street. A person in the winter on a street in a town.
Hallmark Christmas movies hold a special place in the hearts of many. Adorable, cheesy (in the best way), comforting, and as wintry as it can get. Watching will make you want to be transported to some mountain town in the middle of nowhere, where you can meet the love of your life.
We can't promise the romance part, but you can actually visit a town straight out of the Hallmark channel, just a road trip away from Calgary.
Banff is a beloved destination that becomes even more magical in the winter, with twinkling lights, holiday events, and picturesque snow-tipped mountains surrounding it all.

'A Winter Getaway' puts the stunning scenery of the small mountain town on display, and it's filmed and set in Banff. Filming locations also included Calgary and Winnipeg, but some of the most stunning scenes are with Banff backdrops.
Stroll along the charming streets here that are lined with restaurants and shops, glistening with fresh snow if you're lucky. It's easy to get swept up in the holiday magic here, and nearby is the village of Lake Louise, which is another beautiful and popular destination.
You can see the Fairmont Banff Springs in the movie too — which is a magical hotel nestled among the mountains.
If you can't make it to the beautiful town of Banff, you can always put on 'A Winter Getaway' to see the main characters fall head over heels while on a luxury trip in the Rockies.
