If you're a fan of reality TV, you probably already know that the drama is what makes it so entertaining.

Girls calling one another out while competing for the same man's heart, or breaking the rules to hook up with their dream man are just a few of the incidents that have caught the attention of audiences over the years.

Unfortunately, some of these scandals are a lot more serious and involve allegations of sexual assault or even lawsuits filed for wrongful death.

One thing's for sure — life in the spotlight isn't easy, and these stars can tell you all about it.

Jamar Lee — Big Brother Canada

On the most recent season of Big Brother Canada, Lee quickly became known for his hilarious catchphrases and goofy personality.

Just a few weeks in, he was removed from the house by producers after an incident with houseguest Kyle Rozendal where the latter felt "threatened" by Lee's actions.

Rozendal was also later removed from the house due to a "breach of rules" and shortly after, the season ended production early.

Jacob Hoggard — Canadian Idol

You may remember Hoggard from his time on the second season of Canadian Idol, during which he placed third. Afterwards, he went on to become the frontman of Hedley, a rock-pop group based out of British Columbia.

Back in 2018, #outHedley2k18 became popular on Twitter as people began sharing stories of band members sexually harassing and assaulting them.

Many of the stories came from people who were underage at the time of the incident.

In July of 2018, Hoggard was arrested and charged over the allegations. It was announced in 2019 that he'll be standing trial over the charges with the court date set for January 4, 2021.

Mykenna Dorn — The Bachelor

Dorn, who hails from Langley, appeared on the most recent season of The Bachelor. She quickly became known among fans for the hilarious faces she would make during some of the show's most intense moments.

Some viewers began throwing theories around that the reason for Dorn's unusual tongue movements was because she was using drugs, but she was quick to shoot down the haters.

The Canadian also got involved with some drama throughout the season, when fellow contestant Tammy Ly accused her of being on the show for the wrong reasons.

Kevin O'Leary — Shark Tank

O'Leary is best known for his role on Shark Tank, but back in 2019, he found himself in some hot water after being involved in a boat crash that killed two people.

O'Leary says that his wife was the one operating the boat at the time of the incident, but TMZ reports that a lawsuit filed against the couple says that both of them were driving.

Francesca Farago — Too Hot to Handle

Ottawa-born reality star Farago made major waves when Too Hot to Handle hit Netflix earlier this year. Throughout the series, Farago was the cause of plenty of drama on the tropical island as her hookups caused the cast to lose out on thousands of dollars.

In the end, she and her beau Harry Jowsey were able to redeem themselves and make up for the lost money. The couple is currently still together and even recently sparked pregnancy rumours.

Evan Starkman — The Challenge

According to The Challenge Wiki, Starkman was known for being a flirtatious, cocky figure during his time on the hit MTV reality series.

In 2011, co-star Tonya Cooley filed charges against Starkman and fellow competitor Kenny Santucci alleging that the men sexually assaulted her with a toothbrush, Jezebel reports.

In 2012, MTV reached an out-of-court settlement with Cooley.
