Health Canada Is Recalling Thousands Of Candles Because Of A Fire & Burn Hazard

Thousands of products are part of the candle recall that has been issued by Health Canada because the products have been found to pose a fire and burn hazard.

The affected products are Revive's three-wick soy candles that come in a glass jar with white wax and a decorative metal lid with the Melaleuca logo.

3,103 the number of recalled products sold in Canada

There are two scents that are being recalled, Warm Spiced Latte and Winter Cedar.

It was found that the high flames of the candle can actually ignite the surface of the wax which then poses both fire and burn hazards.

As of December 29, there haven't been any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

3,103 products were sold in the country between November 2020 and December 2020.

Canadians are being told to stop using these candles, cut all three of the wicks as short as possible and throw them out.

Recently, a wide variety of products have been recalled in Canada including jerky contaminated with THC and ceiling fans.
