There's A Recall In Canada For Beef & Bison Jerky That Was Contaminated With THC

Psychoactive jerky!
Senior Writer

With this beef and bison jerky Canada recall, there's a possibility that the food has been contaminated with the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.

The government of Yukon put out a notice that the jerky from local business Off the Hook Meat Works is being voluntarily recalled.

"Yukon residents who may have purchased beef or bison jerky, produced by a local business, Off the Hook Meat Works, are being advised to avoid eating any of these products."

People have been told to not eat these products because of the possible contamination.

There have been complaints from people who have eaten the jerky and felt nausea, numbness, stumbling/difficulty walking, high heart rate and/or dizziness.

Some people were assessed at a hospital and through tests, traces of THC were found in their systems.

The products have been removed from store shelves locally and the RCMP is investigating this.

Recently, quite a few food products have been recalled in Canada because of possible listeria contamination and even ceiling fans were recalled because the blades flew off.
