Dundas, a quaint small town located just an hour away from Toronto, is known as "Valley Town" for its beautiful location within the Dundas Valley, surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment. The destination is straight off a postcard and is even more magical during the holiday season.

The town's annual Dickens Of A Christmas event is taking place every weekend until Christmas.

According to the website, the downtown has transformed into a "Hallmark Christmas Movie" complete with free horse and carriage rides, street entertainment, free apple cider and visits with Santa.

On Sundays, there is a Breakfast with Santa event taking place at different locations around the town.

You can enjoy historic charm, festive cheer and more while wandering along the glittering streets and sipping on cider.

The town is also a great place to get some holiday shopping done. There are many local boutiques where you can find items for everyone on your gift list.

You'll want to bring your hiking boots, because Dundas is surrounded by several enchanting trails and gorgeous waterfalls. You can journey to a number of shimmering waterfalls, winding rivers and scenic trails around the town.

Spencer Gorge Conservation Area is among the most iconic places to explore and is home to two waterfalls and a panoramic lookout.

You can also head to Dundas Valley Conservation Area, where you'll find snow-covered forests and Narnia-worthy views.
